I don't think AMFC can be said to exist any more though some of us still
speak to each other a lot. If it were to be reformed I would welcome
it, but it would have to be under a somewhqat modified approach; the
context we formed it in has changed considerably. I still think there
are some common goals, as stated in the platform we had several years
ago, that are not the same emphases as some others have. It's not clear
to me the same urgency exists, either--yet I think we (and ALA) have
benefited from our association. Others' comments, just to put the whole
thing to bed perhaps? --pg
