I do some teleworking from my office in about the same way as one of
the other respondents. I send reviews I write for two different
library magazines by e-mail or fax. I was also on a state wide
committe selcting a vendor for barcoding. Due to weather and other
factors the committee never met face to face. We corresponded by
email and fax. All meetings were by conference calls. The process
was satisfactory but not very satisfying because I could not see the
other people duirng the teleconference calls. Until telephone
conferences commonly have video functions, alot will be lost. I even
had a two hour job interview this summer as a conference call. That
was a nightmare!!.
