I second this observation. As a list owner I have been given a small
bit of recognition (locally) for my efforts, but as a list user I
have been asked to write two articles and deliver one paper. These have
had a more direct impact on my professional advancement, but might
not have been given me had I not been in contact with other scholars
on the network.
