i am not a lawyer, but the
U.S. Supreme Court on
march 27, 1991 handed down
'Feist Publications'
it removed copyright protection
from white pages of telephone
directories...
eliminating 'sweat of the brow'
or 'industrious collection'
copyright defense...
'there is no copyright in
facts and ideas' prevailed.
