Subject: Need examples for CNI meeting
On Friday the CNI meeting will be held in Virginia,
and Jim Williams and I will be leading a discussion
on advertising on the Internet to follow up on this
on-line discussion.
As some of the people who attend the meeting will be
new to this subject, I'd like to be able to show them
some examples of Internet advertising.
I thought perhaps you folks could share with me (and
the rest of the list) some examples of what you
consider "good" Internet ads, and what you consider
"bad" ads (by any definition you wish).
I'd also like some examples of "sort-of" advertising:
the "I have no connection with this company but..."
promotion, the lengthy and promotional .sig, and some
"informational" posts on those newsgroups devoted
to such posts. I'm also looking for the job ads that
appear everywhere (of which ACADEME THIS WEEK is an
outstanding example), and even "I want to sell my..."
You may e-mail them directly to me at judith@page1.com,
or share them on this list.
Thanks in advance for your help.
