Judith,

the attached is standard boilerplate for IBR. I initially
posted it to com-priv and e-mailed it to about 150 personal
contacts. The salient details were picked up and re-run by a
number of e-pubs including EDUPAGE. PACS-L (moderated) ran it
in its entirety. This is pretty much a straight ad, though the
version that initially went out offered free sample issues to
respondents (this has been somewhat edited since, but mostly
just to revise details). I have received well over a thousand
responses. (as many people misunderstood that this was an
e-pub, I had to ask them for their ground-mail addresses; in
each case, I included a copy of this ad. Many more responses
resulted from secondary postings from those sends.)

I also sent this to about 25 companies advertising on MSEN's
gopher. One company (itself and advertiser) called it "junk
mail" -- but that is the ONLY negative response I have received
to date.

hope this fits what you're looking for.

chris

Internet Business Report is a primary information source for
vendors and business users looking to create commercial
opportunities on -- and thereby bring value to -- the global
Internet.

Published monthly, IBR will deliver timely and valuable
information in a concise 8-page format that helps readers to
stay abreast of the vast array of new technologies, services and
products appearing on the net each day. In addition, Internet
Business Report will track the business alliances being created
to support this fast-emerging new market.

More than a mere pastiche of news clips and sound bytes, IBR
will surface and explore those critical trends and developments
shaping the evolution of the Internet's culture and commercial
infrastructure. The premiere issue includes an additional
8-page special supplement with contributions from:

     * Bill Braasch, president of Data Base Architects,
on how even small firms can use the Internet to
       develop international markets

     * Esther Dyson, editor and publisher of Release 1.0,
on the Internet's potential dark side

     * Ed Krol, author of The Whole Internet (O'Reilly &
       Associates), on the whole USENET

     * John Markoff, Silicon Valley reporter for The New York
Times, on getting all the news all the time

     * Brad Templeton, president of ClariNet Communications
Corporation, on selling information services on the net

as well as articles on the Commercial Internet Exchange, The
Electronic Newsstand, the changing policies of commercial
services with regard to Internet mail, and the Internet as the
primary locus of new technology-related business development in
the 1990s.

Our second issue includes stories on AT&T's new Internet service
offerings, the PSI/Continental Cable alliance, Rupert Murdoch's
acquisition of Delphi, reports on InterOp and OneBBScon, as well
as a brief look at four new commercial information services.

IBR #3 looks at America Online's announced plans to open up to
the Internet, Jones Intercable's plans to deliver Internet
services, Microsoft's support for TCP/IP, and issues
surrounding advertising and marketing on the Net.
