I will be there as a liaison to the ISO Metadata Working Group.
I am aware of several major trends in facilities for finding
information and will certainly advocate for interoperability
among them, including Z39.50. I would only note, however, that
"decisions" are amorphous things in the standards world and the
path chosen often reflects interpersonal dynamics as much as
technological considerations.
