If the ASN.1 numeric identifiers used in Z39.50 and GILS are to
be encoded in XML, we ought to have an agreed set of XML Tags.
For that purpose, I have constructed a space delimited text file
that includes 507 identifiers drawn from the Bib-1 and GILS
Attribute Sets and the OID nodes from which they stem. The file
is at <http://asf.gils.net/xer/asn1/XML-tags.txt>.
(Please note that these tags are for use "on the wire" and are
expressed using XML rules and conventions. The tags used here
are just machine readable "tokens" exactly equivalent to the
numbers used in ASN.1.)
Each entry in this text file as an XML Tag and OID.
Entries from the Bib-1 and GILS Attribute Sets each also have
an Attribute-Type. Members of the Attribute-Type within the
Bib-1 and GILS Attribute Sets each also have an
Attribute-Identifier.
Comments and suggestions are, of course, Welcome!
