An announcement from Joan Lippincott about the posthumous ELITE award
just made to Paul Peters as well as a Web tribute page on the CAUSE
website, which I shall add to the NINCH front page.

Dear cni-announce subscribers:
Paul Evan Peters was honored posthumously at CAUSE97
today with the presentation of CAUSE's top award,
the Exemplary Leadership and Information Technology
Excellence (ELITE) award.
CAUSE prepared a Web tribute to Paul in conjunction with
the award. The website includes video clips of Paul's
presentations, interviews with individuals who knew Paul
well, and some of Paul's writings. I encourage all of
you who knew Paul to visit the website at:

The CAUSE ELITE award honors the lifetime achievements
and international impact of leaders in information resources
in higher education. It is sponsored by the Systems &
Computer Technology Corporation.
The award carries a $5000. stipend, which will be donated
to the Paul Evan Peters Scholarship fund, administered
by CNI, at the request of Paul's widow Rosemarie Kozdron.
