While we're at it, let's implicate Newt in Teapot Dome, shall we?
Of COURSE there are avenues for corruption here; the question is,
should we as the loyal opposition shout about it until we're blue in
the face and no one at all is listening to us? Or should we let
people quietly draw their own conclusions and then remind them of
Gingrich's ethical lapses when it can aid a cause?
If we push the issue now, ESPECIALLY with hypotheticals and downright
hysterical charges, the entire issue will permanently lose its
potency. The Republicans can still get mileage out of Gennifer
Flowers' name; we need to learn how to play this with the same sort
of mastery.

I agree. I thank God that Gingrich let himself screw up so badly;
it takes the shine off the Man Who Could Do No Wrong in terms of
political strategy. Now we add this to our ammunition and use it when
appropriate.
