To my fellow subscribers to the national TPR Roundtable,

I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Jody Gorran and I am the
Director of Strategic Planning and sort of all-around founding guru for
LOOKNet Communications Corporation. We have developed a new online
service which we call LOOKNet, which stands for Locally Originated Online
Knowledge Network. While we have not as of yet officially anounced
LOOKNet to the public, I very much wanted you to have the opportunity to
get a first-hand preview of what we're doing and why we believe that we
have developed something very special.

We wish to set up joint ventures with local media outlets such as TV
Stations, radio stations, cable systems and newspapers to create a
network of self-contained geographically-specific LOOKNets as a sort of
missing link in the online marketplace. We are able to provide the
hardware, the software, basic content parameters and an extensive local
marketing program that we hope will help to grow the online service
industry for all providers from the current 6 million to the potential
of 10 million to 20 million or more users over the next several years.
While we have the backing of one of the largest computer leasing
companies in the world, we are not attempting to position LOOKNet as a
competitor for subscribers with the major online services. In fact, our
plans are for LOOKNet to function in a sense like a local switch which
could take you to many places, including the major services.
Preliminary discussions with a major service has shown definite interest
in the possibility of using LOOKNet as a means of creating a new pool of
potential subscribers to their service as well as our own. LOOKNet's
mission can surely coexist with and help encourage the further growth of
all online services and the World Wide Web.

In its simplest form, LOOKNet is designed to be a local information
utility accessible by dial-up or through broadband cable, created to help
empower people to take greater control of their day to day lives. While
we may think globally, we will be programming locally with a breadth and
scope of local information previously unavailable through any other source.
We hope to be able to break through the paradigm that seems to indicate
that one originally logs on to an online service for reasons quite
distinct from why one stays online. We would like to have a role in
helping this industry to grow and prosper for everyone.

For our local joint venture partner, we believe we can provide a new
economic model, the LOOKNet model, which will provide greater
financial opportunities than can generally be achieved through alignment
with either the major online services, the World Wide Web or creating
one's own bulletin board service. We would have a true partnership with
a sharing of revenue such that we would not be successful unless our local
partner was successful. Revenue streams would come from very reasonable
subscription fees, premium service fees, sale of advertising space,
leasing fees for online stores in the LOOKNet Mall and sales of additional
products and services. Beyond the hardware and the software, we will be
also working closely with our local partner to execute our extensive local
marketing plan.

And just as important, we are talking about now and not someday. LOOKNet
is not vaporware but a system that currently exists and is ready to be
deployed today in a dial-up mode in any geographic area. We have a LOOKNet
demonstration system up and running and ready for you to loggon. While our
current terminal package is designed for DOS, we are working on a WINDOWS
package which will be available shortly. A MAC terminal package is also
planned.

If you'd like to learn more about LOOKNet and take a tour, we'd be happy
to send you a free copy of our DOS communications terminal package,
details about logging on and more information about LOOKNet. Just e-mail
me your name, company or other affiliation, snail-mail address and phone
number and you can have a first look at LOOKNet.

We think LOOKNet is something special. Have you looked at LOOKNet?
