All this complaining about partisan politics is silly. When political
powers and partisan-sponsored NII bills come up for consideration:
IT'S ALL PURE POLITICS

How can we come to a common ground without discussing politics and
possibly revealing hidden agendas? Politicians are responsible for
NII policy, politicians have the final say on what laws will be
considered, and politicians have the final vote on which laws will
be enacted.

Can you tell me how/why politics should be left out of our discussions?

Face it, we private American citizens have little, if any, influence
on what those folks do, unless we have a sh*t-load of money to donate
to their campaigns. They aren't interested in making America a better
place to live, they're interested in keeping their jobs for another
4 yrs. Can you blame them?

If we talk about social responsability, the conservatives get up-tight.
If we talk about monatary gains, the liberals get up-tight.

I say rather than pussy-foot around the subject we should ALL speak our
minds. At the very least it may trigger a good idea from somebody else.
Isn't that what brain-storming is all about?

Don't worry about offending other people. We are, for the most part,
educated, adults. If you don't speak up now, you shouldn't complain
later.

For those of you who are Republicans, or conservatives; I wasn't
attacking YOU directly. I don't even know you. I was simply pointing
out what made me (and others) nervous about partisan policy.

I have gotten alot of mail saying "Keep politics out of this- stick to
the subject". I read these as "You are making me uncomfortable,
please change the subject."

I'm not afraid to speak my mind and I hope you won't be afraid to
express your NII concerns, too.
