"Robert's Rules of Order" is not a state-of-the-art methodology. It
will not facilitate consistent, coherent, and purposeful dialogue to any
greater degree here than it does in its use at the US Capitol and other
similar places of public policy dialogue. Nevertheless, "Robert's Rules"
adapted to this medium is certainly better than the process generally in
use. I would welcome experiments of this kind, if Richard (and several
knowledgeable alternates) would be willing to perform the functions of
"parliamentarian" in this list, and begin a simple rule book adapted to
our needs.
