Your PBS schedule parody was devastatingly accurate satire, and I
thoroughly enjoyed it. It was only "sick" to a mind that is not strong
and flexible enough to see through the Republican facade to its sick
(morally, spiritually, democratically, and intellectually) essence. As
far as being a 'cheap political move" - come on, puh-leese. That is the
very essence of the false, demeaning, and slyly manipulative styles of
Dole, Gramm, Grinch, Reagan, Bush, Quayle, Pressler, Helms, Hatch,
Spector, Pataki, and the legions of negativities who oppress the minds
and spirits of the gullible, ignorant masses who cheer and jeer on cue.
If we can't post satire that correctly exposes their bankruptcy
as human beings and leaders, as well as the Dark Ages they are trying
to bring to the few glimmers of truth, intelligence, and inspiration
on American telivision, then we much deny the integrity of the thoughts
that well up spontaneously in our minds [we must, not much].
I will refrain from going on at greater length in respect of the
delicate sensibilities for whom this kind of meditation is anathema.
But we need more, not less, pointed observations.
I still have not seen any posts that deal with these issues
head-on if they disagree, stating specifically why they disagree with
Curt's passing on of the satire, or my points of view, or many others.
This is not Rush Limbaugh's controlled expression that fear's
opposition. [fears]. Come out from the shadows and debate, or stop
throwing private darts.
