Meeting Reminder - Reposting Encouraged
The Telecommunications Policy Roundtable will be holding its May
General Meeting next week. Please note, we will be meeting in a new
location. As always, new members and brown bag lunches are welcome.
Date: Tuedsay, May 2, 1995

Washington, DC
Auditorium (entrance level)
Metro: 1 Block from the Dupont Circle Metro

Agenda Includes:
1. Brief update on current telecommunications legislation.
2. Discussion of Congressional legislation on regulatory policy and how
it will impact decisions being made at the FCC and other
regulatory agencies. (Patrice McDermott, OMB Watch)
3. Wiretap funding and related civil liberties issues. (Marc
Rotenberg, Electronic Privacy Information Center)
4. "Competition in the Content Market" - discussion of upcoming
workshop (Jamie Love, Taxpayer Assets Project)
5. Update on access to online legal information (Jamie Love, Taxpayer
Assets Project)
6. Dr. Ross Stapleton-Gray, director of the newly formed DC chapter
of the Internet Society, will introduce himself and describe the
goals of the DC and other new chapters.
7. New Business.

The Telecommunications Policy Roundtable is a public interest coalition
of more than 200 organizations. Participants include representatives from
consumer, labor, civil rights, education, library, and public interest
groups. The Roundtable meets monthly in Washington, DC to discuss
developments in telecommunications.
