Dear Jeff,

You apparently missed the whole point of my column, "Gangsta Rap
and the Public Interest."  Rather than bemoaning "capitalism"
and exhorting "the American people to take control of their mass
media," I offered an effective and workable approach to hold
the media accountable to those whom they are licensed to "serve."
