I agree with Tony that asking the government to intervene on Windows95 
is overkill, plus it might establish a dangerous precedent.  I haven't 
yet seen Windows95 (even in Beta) so I don't know what messages appear 
during installation, but I would support a full disclosure requirement - 
i.e. requiring a message prior to remote registration that says - in 
large font display - when you register this product remotely the 
following will happen . . . with an option for cancellation.

By the way, fearing that other organizations may be doing the same
thing with less publicity, I have long made it a rule to never 
register via modem.
