The Telecommunications Policy Roundtable will be holding its September
General Meeting next week.  Let me know if you have additional items for
the agenda.

      - Update on the passage of HR 1555 this past month
      - Overview of key provisions/differences in Senate/House versions
      - Estimated timeline for movement of the bill
      - Prospects for a Presidential veto

2.  Open networks issues and current legislation

3.  Spectrum Flexibility/FCC Decisions
      (Gigi Sohn, Media Access Project)

4.  Access to government information
      (Prue Adler, Association of Research Libraries

      - Recent decision on SEC's EDGAR database

5.  Creator's rights in new media
      (National Writers Union)
      - New York Times contract regarding author's ownership issues
      - How online media outlets affect authorship/copyright issues
