BA welcomes the CWA to the Internet

In its first appearance on the net, the CWA union is trying to rally the
on-line community to support its position in contract negotiations with
Bell Atlantic. The union is urging a flood of flames to Bell Atlantic --
obviously the CWA's latest bargaining tactic.

Frankly, we think it would be more useful for the CWA to stop all that
typing, and instead dial the phone. The union has had a contract
offer from Bell Atlantic for more than a month, since August 15, and
not yet responded. In that time, there has been a lot of CWA stalling,
but very little serious bargaining.

Union members deserve a contract that is fair to them, and our customers
deserve a contract that lets us provide the services they demand speedily
and at a good price.

We've called on the CWA to join us for serious discussions at the
negotiating table immediately.
