The TPR will be holding its December meeting next week.  Please contact

1.      Discussion of current telecommunications legislation

        *  Committee Action/Conference report on bills
        *  Estimated timeline for passage/veto
           (Brad Stillman, Consumer Federation of America)

        *  Anti-Redlining provisions in telecom bills
           (Gigi Sohn, Media Access Project)

        *  Lack of interoperability provisions in the bill

2.      Update on Medical Privacy Bill
        (Jamie Love, Consumer Project on Technology)

3.      High Definition Television (HDTV) proceedings at the FCC
        (Gigi Sohn, Media Access Project)

4.      Successful cert. petition for Alliance for Community Media vs. FCC
        Supreme Court case involving cable censorship
        (Jeff Hops/Jim Horwood, Alliance for Community Media)

5.      Report on Istook Amendment limiting advocacy by nonprofits.

6.      New business
