Sorry; yes, it was a joke. I needed an arbitrary non-US Internet
presence for the line, and Demon was the first to come to mind. The
"Mpeg" bit is intended to imply destruction of the US portion of the
Internet by said legislation.
ObComPriv: To keep from uselessly wasting more bandwidth than I
already have with this thread, enclosed is a message which I sent an
hour ago in an effort to document our attempts at reducing our legal
target profile in the matter. The destination, fccinfo@fcc.gov, was
the closest thing to a responsible agency I could come up with; they
currently don't give a hoot about the matter and seemed mostly
confused by the message.
