I was worried about the possible passage of this bill, which EFF circulated
an alert about earlier this week. I think the alert went to these lists (if
not, you would probably be interested in the issue anyway!).
Anyway, a Congressional staffer just told me that the bill did not come to
a vote. It's officially on the "suspensions calendar," which as you might
assume means nobody knows if or when it will be voted on.
This makes me happy, because I think the bill was extremely poorly drawn.
