About the ROUNDTABLE Forum
Welcome to the Telecommunications Policy Roundtable Forum (ROUNDTABLE).
This forum is a discussion group of the Telecommunications Policy Roundtable
(TPR), a coalition of more than 100 organizations, formed in the spring of 1993
to discuss federal telecommunications and information policy. The group as a
whole meets every month in Washington, DC, and it also sponsors several regular
and ad hoc committees and subcommittees to address specific concerns. This is
an open discussion list devoted to the dissemination of information about TPR
activities, as well as discussions about federal telecommunications and information
policy. Subscribers need not be members of the TPR. The list was created to
facilitate discussions among current TPR members and to extend discussions of
policy to those who cannot participate in roundtable meetings because of geograpic
barriers. Members are encouraged to post press releases and other notices relevant
to the TPR to broaden awraeness of telecommunications policy advocacy efforts.
