Mission Statement
The Association for Information Media and Equipment (AIME), is the
trade association for companies and organizations commercially
engaged in the production or distribution of information film/video, the
manufacture of equipment or who supply professional services or
laboratory services to the information industry.
The primary missions of AIME include:
a) stimulating more widespread and more effective use of information
film and video;
b) encouraging good school copyright policies, educating schools and
libraries on the copyright law regarding film and video, and pursuing
copyright violation reports;
c) lobbying for increased funding for school media materials, fair
competition laws, and other legislation that would benefit school
media centers and libraries;
d) promoting the general welfare and improving the professional status
of AIME members by doing market research, statistical surveys,
investigation into new technology and cooperative activities at
conventions and show exhibits.
