Here! here! And may those in the library profession start the ball
rolling with their own literature. I gave a paper recently to the
Online & Ondisc conference <http://www.csu.edu.au/special/online99/>
here in Australia

was asked by the editor of the Australian Library Journal, John
Levick, if he could publish it. I explained my reservations about
publishing in a print only journal and he explained that he had been
trying to make the journal available freely on the ALIA web site
<http://www.alia.org.au/> but shortage of staff had held it up.
Just as he said that Ivan Trundle, the ALIA web master, walked past.
We pounced upon him and it turned out that things had changed and we
hope to see the Australia Library Journal online soon.
