New Additions to _Just-in-Time(sm): Electronic Delivery Services_

I am pleased to announce the following major additions to
_Just-in-Time(sm): Electronic Delivery Services_ , Web-based
clearinghouse of services, products, and research devoted to
'pay-per-view- access to electronic journal articles

 I. CatchWord

     http://www.catchword.com/

There are now over 350 journals online from 27 publisher clients around
the world." Current publishers include the American Institute of
Biological Sciences, Carfax Publishing, the Institution of Chemical
Engineers, Plenum Publishing, Royal Society of Chemistry, Taylor and
Francis, among several others.

This is one of the largest gateways to electronic journals of
which I am aware.

II. Science /AAAS

http://sciencenow.sciencemag.org/cgi/login?uri=/sn-sub/signedin.shtml

"For US$10.00 you can have access .... to all content in Science
Online or ScienceNOW for 24 hours."

III. Documents Direct (Leeds University Library)

 http://www.leeds.ac.uk/library/docdel/home.htm

This is an *extremely* interesting research project at the Leeds
University Library which seeks "to investigate and evaluate new
mechanisms for the discovery and delivery of full text journal articles
and similar material to academic staff and researchers of ... [Leeds]
University" as a substitute for print ownership [WOW!]

                              *****************

I am greatly interested in *other* projects such a Documents
Direct that may be underway or under consideration by other libraries
for possible inclusion in my next update of _Just-in-Time(sm)_ BTW,
_Just-in-Time(sm) is located at

   http://www.public.iastate.edu/~CYBERSTACKS/Just.htm

                              *****************

Thanks again to all who responded to my previous
call for candidates!

As Always, Any and All contributions, queries, critiques,
comments, questions, concerns, etc., etc. regarding this
post are Most Welcome.

  Regards,

/Gerry McKiernan
