What principle does this proposal serve, after evading the battle to
overturn the hostile takeover of the NREN? This proposal is an unseemly
way to go. It involves the whole public interest community in an mere
quibbling contest over a tenuous issue, when all should be involved in
protecting the policy established with the NREN program. That battle
would decisively resolve all the problems now faced by the public
interest community.
