“Big Data” Challenges & Opportunities

Administration “Big Data” Research and Development Program and Event

The Obama Administration is holding an event at 2-3:30PM Eastern [today, March 29] to announce the roll out of a major new multi-agency research and development program based on “big data”. The event will be streamed at

(I don’t know if it will be archived for later replay)

[Note, added 3/30/12, after original posting: "An archive of this webcast will be available on nsf.gov within two days of this event."]

There are a fact sheet and a press release at the OSTP site,
