Notes:

1) The president and his administrative team are much more collegial decision-makers and as an economist, he is more data driven than past CEOs have apparently been, thus there is a strategic need for more and better data distributed to a broader array of people across the university.

2) There is a strategic need from our academic entities for significantly increased IT support: infrastructure, hardware, software, maintenance, labs, smart classrooms, technical training, and IT staff. This is needed to increase usage in the classroom and to address new innovative applications.

3) There is a strategic need for an easier maintained, more flexible, more responsive administrative system capable of supplying data and information when needed. Some process redesign along with a new hardware platform, new RDBMS software, access tools, and utilities are necessary.
