1997 CAUSE/CNI Regional Conference
"Delivering the Curriculum and Student Services in a Technologically Enriched Fashion"
CAUSE/CNI Conference
hosted by the University of Delaware
Newark, Delaware
May 21-23, 1997
The rhetoric of change -- renewal, reengineering, transformation -- is being sounded throughout higher education. New information technologies and services and the widespread availability of digital scholarly resources are fueling changes in the way instruction is delivered and the manner in which students learn. In some cases, these changes are influencing deeply the very idea of the university and its relationship to students. The successful integration of new tools suggests the need for new campus partnerships, new skills, new working relationships, and a host of changes to long-held campus policies and practices.
This conference brings together scholars, academic leaders, administrators, and information resources professionals from disparate areas of the campus to discuss the role and impact of technology on key academic programs and services. Join your colleagues as we seek to explore beyond the rhetoric the possibilities and challenges created in distance education, the digital library, the student-centered learning environment, and other emerging concepts.
