WORKSHEET #1:
PARTICIPANT INTRODUCTIONS AND WORK ISSUES
The first step in working together is to know who we’re working with. We’ll take some time at the start of this workshop to learn more about the professional roles, responsibilities, and concerns that each of us has.

Instructions:

  1. Form pairs. Try to pair up with someone from the “other” profession. (Archives and Records Management or Information Technology), and with someone you don’t already know.
  2. For the first 5 minutes, interview your partner, asking the four questions below and taking notes of the answers.
  3. For the next 3 minutes, switch places and be interviewed.
  4. When time is called, introduce your partner to the rest of the group using her/his answers to the four questions.

The four questions are:

What is your name?

What is your title and institution?

What is your chief responsibility? (People at work count on me to . . . )

What’s in your in-box at work? (Two things waiting for me on my desk when I return are . . . )
