Moving Image Collections (MIC) is an NSF-funded portal to moving image
materials. MIC combines a searchable directory database and union catalog
to merge title information with service and location information for
the archives owning each title. MIC features portals specific to different
audiences, including the general public, archivists, and science educators.
MIC is being developed as part of the National Science Digital Library
by Rutgers University Libraries, the Georgia Institute of Technology,
and the University of Washington. It is co-sponsored by the Library
of Congress and the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA). After
development, MIC will be hosted permanently by the Library of Congress.
