I am reposting a workshop announcement from Martin Halbert at University of North Texas. The program on “Futures of Academic Publishing” will feature a number of perspectives on developments in this arena. CNI recently released a report of an executive roundtable on Institutional Strategies and Platforms for Scholarly Publishing. There is growing interest in new models of scholarly communication and publishing and an ever increasing number of projects and initiatives seeking to test new models.
