CNI Spring 2023 Membership Meeting
April 3–4
Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel

#CNI23s

Last updated: January 18

We are delighted to welcome attendees to our meeting, while also acknowledging the complexities of planning during these times. Our team is monitoring the latest guidance and regulations, and our policies align with public health orders. We recognize that conditions will continue to evolve, and our policies may be updated accordingly. All attendees are encouraged to check this page for the most up-to-date information.

We will follow venue and local regulations regarding masking, distancing, and related health measures. Relevant resources are below:

  • See Sheraton Denver’s website for the venue’s current policies
  • Denver Government COVID-19 Information
  • CDC Advice for Travel
  • Visit Denver Travel Summary

If you have questions or concerns related to our health and safety protocols, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Things to Know Before you Register

MASKING

  • As neither the city of Denver nor the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel has general mask mandates in place, face masks are welcome and recommended, though not required. We will have masks available at the registration desk if needed. Masking requirements may or may not change based on conditions prior to the meeting.

VACCINATIONS

  • CNI will require all attendees to provide proof of vaccination OR proof of negative COVID test as an alternative to proof of vaccination. The same third party, VOW Digital Health, will provide verification of both vaccinations and negative COVID tests, as with previous meetings; anyone who has attended an in-person CNI meeting since fall 2021 will already be cleared to attend the spring 2023 meeting. Details and instructions for submitting vaccination or test documentation will be sent to attendees by email.

COMMUNICATION & AGREEMENTS

  • Any changes in vaccination and/or masking requirements will be emailed to registrants prior to the meeting and posted on this page.
  • If you are feeling sick or test positive for COVID, please do not attend the meeting. We are relying on the responsible behavior of our attendees.
  • All registrants for CNI’s spring ‘23 membership meeting understand and recognize the risk of contracting COVID (by traveling to or attending the event) and release and waive any right to hold CNI liable. Registrants will affirm their agreement to this as part of registration.

Before you Travel

We kindly ask that attendees please consult and follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines for quarantine and isolation and travel (as they may change) prior to traveling for the meeting.

During the Meeting

Participants are encouraged to:

  • Monitor for symptoms of COVID each morning before coming to the meeting.
  • Consider bringing a rapid COVID test kit in case you experience symptoms.
  • Wear a high-quality mask (e.g. KN95)

If you Have Symptoms or Test Positive

If you experience symptoms of COVID and/or test positive for COVID at CNI’s spring meeting:

  • Notify colleagues that they may have been exposed.
  • Adjust your accommodations and travel plans to follow CDC guidelines for quarantining.
  • Refrain from attending any CNI meeting events.

Code of Conduct

CNI is committed to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment for inquiry, constructive disagreement, and intellectual freedom and honesty. We do not tolerate personal attacks, harassment of any kind, violence, or disruptive behavior. Please be respectful of our community’s diversity and generous of others’ views. Please bring concerns to our attention by contacting a member of the CNI staff.
