Reminder – Registration is open

CNI’s webinar series on Digital Scholarship Planning, which will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-2 PM Eastern from September 10, 2020 until October 13, 2020, has a full roster of speakers who will provide both big picture understanding of trends as well as practical advice. The series is intended for those in the beginning of a planning process to support digital scholarship at their universities and colleges and for those from institutions seeking to take their services and expertise to the next level. The webinar series builds on previous workshops that CNI has held on this topic and on presentations held at CNI membership meetings. CNI Associate Executive Director Emerita Joan Lippincott will host and moderate the webinars.

Topics will include:

  • The Case for Developing Digital Scholarship Programs
  • Supporting Digital Scholarship During the Pandemic
  • Assessment: Needs and Ongoing
  • Staffing
  • Initiatives in Teaching & Learning
  • Supporting Research
  • Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
  • Space and Place
  • Reflections on Digital Scholarship and Looking Ahead

A talented group of speakers will present a variety of perspectives on digital scholarship in a broad range of fields, including the social sciences, humanities, arts, and sciences. Information on confirmed speakers for sessions are on the webinar site.

This workshop is designed to provide models, principles, and good practices for teams and individuals charged with developing and implementing digital scholarship programs, including:

  • Library administrators
  • Partners from academic administration, information technology, and other relevant campus units
  • Librarians who have a role in digital scholarship
  • Faculty who are involved in the planning, leadership, or activities of digital scholarship centers
  • Graduate students who are interested in a career in digital scholarship centers

Registration is free and is limited to individuals from CNI member institutions. 

Recordings of the webinars will be made available and openly accessible to all.
