In July 2009, the Committee on Science, Engineering, and Public Policy of the National Academies released its report, Ensuring the Integrity, Accessibility, and Stewardship of Research Data in the Digital Age. The report contains principles to guide the research enterprise in the areas of data integrity, access, and stewardship, and makes recommendations for how researchers, research institutions, research sponsors, research libraries, journals, and professional societies should approach these issues going forward. The session will include an overview of the report, identification of several issues particularly relevant to CNI members, and time for open discussion.
