This session reports on the findings of the DATALIS program, part of the Institute of Museum and Library Services-funded LEADING project, which sought to use an innovation management approach. In early 2024, DATALIS employed the Innovation Funnel methodology to envision potential future pathways to enable professional education with a focus on data science content areas. Through the multi-stage effort of LEARN, WORK, DEVELOP, PRESENT the project engaged hundreds of participants and surfacted 13 unique potential solutions, which are published at https://datalis.design/present/. The presenters will review how the Innovation Funnel methodology drove engagement and solution exploration and will discuss future pathways for further exploring the identified solutions.
