I’m delighted to announce the plenary speakers for the upcoming CNI meeting.
Professor Kathleen Fitzpatrick of Michigan State University will open the meeting. She will be speaking on “Generous Thinking: Sustainability, Solidarity and the Common Good,” drawing on her newly-published book Generous Thinking: A Radical Approach to Saving the University.
Professor Michael Nelson of Old Dominion University will close the meeting with his talk “Web Archives at the Nexus of Good Fakes and Flawed Originals,” which will explore the current perhaps surprisingly fragile state of web archives and prospects for the future.
Both of these should be wonderful presentations, and I’m deeply grateful to Kathleen and Michael for joining us. You can find full information about these presentations on the CNI web site, at

As a reminder, registration closes on March 5.
