A Word About CNI’s Program Plan and the COVID-19 Crisis
Preparing a new annual Program Plan would be an exercise in hubris, and likely futility, under the current circumstances. Much of our present work is focused on understanding the current landscape and helping our members to develop effective strategies going forward. You can read about some of this work in Executive Roundtable reports we’ve released within the past year or so.
At some point in the (hopefully) not too distant future, we will return to the work of updating the Program Plan and integrating all that we’ve learned over the past months.
-CNI
Every year at the fall membership meeting CNI releases a new program plan, which is a snapshot of our plans and priorities for the year as of early November. The plan includes some background information about CNI and its collaborative activities and discusses program initiatives planned for the year (July 1-June 30). We organize this work around three major program themes:
- Developing and Managing Networked Information Content
- Transforming Organizations, Professions, and Individuals
- Building Technology, Standards, and Infrastructure
