Public and open access policies and infrastructure established by US federal agencies and other granting agencies have undergone significant modifications not only in the last few years but even within the last few months. From enhancements happening within the National Science Foundation on the public access repository (PAR), to new research and policies undertaken at the National Institutes of Health, and recent work happening at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), and the Office of Science and Technology Policy, this is an evolving area that campus faculty navigate. This panel will provide attendees with an update on federal agency public access and research integrity initiatives, and it will include time for questions.
