Introducing CoMet: The World Bank’s Solution for Tracking Content Metrics in a Multi-Open-Access-Repository Institution (Lightning Talk)

Home / Project Briefing Pages / CNI Fall 2025 Project Briefings / Introducing CoMet: The World Bank’s Solution for Tracking Content Metrics in a Multi-Open-Access-Repository Institution (Lightning Talk)

November 17, 2025

Tal Ayalon
Information Solutions Officer
World Bank Group

With institution-wide demand for statistical reports of institution-published content ever increasing, the World Bank has implemented a solution that de-duplicates published items across multiple institutional repositories, while also gathering external data related to those items from various sources. The lightning session will discuss the CoMet system’s background, the unique challenges of gathering data from multiple institutional repositories, combining open access and subscription-based data sources, and the future roadmap for CoMet, providing a current case study to institutions facing similar demand for content metrics reports.
