Metadata
Providing good metadata for digital content assists users in locating and using relevant information. CNI was active in early discussions of the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative and continues to encourage discussion of metadata related to digital objects of various types, metadata associated with data sets, and metadata as an integral part of digital preservation.
