Assessment

Understanding the value that a technology-related program or service adds to the institution is an ongoing topic of discussion and one that is receiving increased attention at the national level. Technology, information, and library services support the research and education missions of the institutions in which they are situated, but it is not simple to measure the impact or specific outcomes of those services. CNI’s program has emphasized sharing information about good practice and innovative solutions among institutions, and it highlights a broad array of quantitative and qualitative techniques.
