ArchivesSpace is a community-supported open source archival information management system used by many organizations throughout the world to describe and manage their collections while also making them publicly accessible. In 2023, ArchivesSpace celebrated its 10th anniversary. Along the way the program and the community have learned many lessons for making our efforts both vibrant and sustainable, even after the initial excitement of creating something brand new is gone. In this video, members of the ArchivesSpace program team will discuss the resilience of the ArchivesSpace application and user community, highlighting the opportunities that arise when a community of practice works together to solve common problems and positions itself to actively participate in an increasingly digital future.
